Barrack Obama's background and life experiences has led his life on a political path.Barrack Obama was born on August 4, 1961 in HonoluluHawaii. When he was 2 his parents separated and he was raised by his mom and his grandparents. He went to Harvard law school and graduated in 1991. He was the first African-American president of the Harvard law review. After graduating he moved to Chicago and practiced as a civil rights lawyer and teach constitutional law.
This led him to run for Illinois state senator and severed for 8 years. He was also the chairman of the public health and welfare committee. A few months later he was elected as US senate. He is the fifth African American senator in U.S. history. Obama announced his candidacy for the 2008 presidential election on February 10, 2007 and announced his running mate as Joe Biden.
